With a density of 95kg/m³, Balance 8 comfortably aligns with the mid-range of most underlay brands, while delivering enhanced comfort and durability expected from a Barefoot product.

Designed for everyday domestic use, Balance 8 helps extend the life of your chosen carpet, providing a stable, cushioned foundation that supports long-term performance. Like all Barefoot Underlays, it is made from recycled IKEA mattresses (PCPU), eliminating the inconsistent feel and hard lumps often found in traditional PU foam underlays.

The top face is finished with a branded non-woven polyester fabric, while the reverse features a white non-woven backing - both selected for durability, ease of handling, and resistance to tearing during installation. Supplied in a full-printed bag made from 100% recycled plastic, Balance 8 supports full-circle recycling: the bag, offcuts, and uplifted underlay can all be returned for remanufacture into new Barefoot rolls.

To further enhance consistency, PU granules in Balance 8 are manufactured approximately 50% smaller than those used in standard PU underlays, resulting in a smoother and more uniform density throughout. Rolls are 'loose' rolled to prevent core compression, ensuring easy installation and eliminating unsightly lips between underlay drops.
